The Omaha men's basketball team's weekend series with South Dakota State has been cancelled.

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Athletics announced today that its Summit League men's basketball games against South Dakota State on Friday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 16, have been cancelled.
The decision was made in strict adherence to athletic department and Summit League COVID-19 protocols. The games will not be made up.
Fans who have purchased tickets may use them for the two women's games vs. SDSU this weekend. Additional options will be communicated later this week for those who may be unable to attend the women's games
"We're disappointed by the cancellation of this weekend's games with South Dakota State," head coach Derrin Hansen said. "The health and safety of our student-athletes, staff, support staff and fans are of the utmost importance, and that will always be our priority.
"We hate to lose home games for our players and fans in a year where they were already limited. Our games against SDSU at Baxter Arena are always well attended and highly competitive. We will be diligent in our return-to-play protocol and look forward to our next home weekend in February."
