Omaha Ranked 11th Headed to No. 1 SCSU

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha will be facing the No. 1 team in the nation this weekend.
The Mavericks (8-2), who were ranked 11th in both national polls released Monday, head to the road for the first time to meet top-ranked St. Cloud State (8-2) in a National Collegiate Hockey Conference series.
The Huskies were the overwhelming choice for the top spot in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine rankings this week. Omaha was No. 11 in both polls after the first week of NCHC play.
The conference once again had six teams rated among the top 15 in the USCHO.com rankings.
Omaha goes into the St. Cloud State series following one of the best starts in program history. The Mavericks went 8-2 during their 10-game season-opening homestand, matching the start of Omaha's 2015-16 squad. Only the 2010-11 team posted a better record through the first 10 games, going 8-1-1.
