OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team will open the 2021 season with a two-game series at Oklahoma on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 21-22 in Norman, Okla.
First pitch on Sunday is set for 2:30 p.m. while Monday's game is scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
With emphasis only on clearing the playing surface and team areas of snow and ice, rather than the seating bowl and walkways, attendance for the two games will be limited to essential staff for game management only.
The Mavericks were originally scheduled to begin the season with a four-game series at Oregon this weekend, but contact tracing within the Oregon baseball program caused the series to be cancelled.
