Field Set for 2021 Summit League Women's Basketball Championship

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. ā The field has been set for next week's 2021 Summit League Women's Basketball Championship, the league office announced Sunday afternoon. The eighth-seeded Mavericks are one of eight teams set to compete at the tournament, March 6-9 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The tournament champion advances to the NCAA Tournament with the league's automatic bid.
Omaha (5-12, 4-8 Summit League) will face top-seeded South Dakota State on Saturday, March 6 at 11:45 a.m. The game will be broadcasted live by Midco Sports Network and ESPN+.
No. 2 South Dakota will play in Saturday's second quarterfinal at 2:45 p.m. and take on No. 7 Oral Roberts.
Sunday's quarterfinal session begins with No. 4 Kansas City and No. 5 Western Illinois battling at 11:45 a.m. No. 3 North Dakota State and No. 6 Denver close out the quarterfinal round with a showdown at 2:45 p.m.
Monday's semifinals begin with the winner of the SDSU/Omaha matchup facing the winner of the KC/WIU battle at 11:45 a.m. and will be followed up by the winners for the USD/ORU game and NDSU/DEN matchup at 2:45 p.m. All four quarterfinals and both semifinals will air on MidcoSN with an ESPN+ simulcast.
Tuesday's championship game is set for 1 p.m. and will be televised live on ESPNU and available on WatchESPN.com.
