Final Results

OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore Josh Peters posted the Omaha men's golf team's top score as the Mavericks finished eighth at the Stampede at The Creek, their own spring tournament.

The Mavericks finished the suspended second round to open the day, posting a team score of 312, and followed with a third-round score of 310 for a total of 940. North Dakota State won the tournament with a total of 892. South Dakota State was second at 898, and SIUE was third at 901.

Peters finished in a tie for 31st in the field of 67 golfers with a total of 233. He finished off his second round by posting a total score of 79 and then shot a personal tournament low of 76 in round three.

Noah Hartman and Mathew Halvorson tied for second on the team and tied for 45th overall with matching totals of 237. Hartman shot 80 and 77 over the last two rounds while Halvorson went 75 and 80.

Josh Bartels was 49th overall, one stroke back of Hartman and Halvorson. He shot 80 and 77 in rounds two and three respectively.

Jacob Zerby tied for 50th with a score of 239. He posted cards of 78 and 81. Phoomintr Kaewvichien completed the team scoring with scores of 85 and 80 for a total of 245.

Playing as an individual, Carter Doose tied for 38th overall with a total of 235. He had cards of 78 and 79 in the final two rounds and was the only player other than Peters to post three rounds in the 70's.

Jack Tickle, also playing as an individual, shot 251 that included scores of 88 and 80 in the last two rounds.

The Mavericks now have more than two weeks off before playing in the Summit League Championship on Saturday-Monday, May 1-3, in Newton, Kan.
