SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Junior Mark Timmins has been named the Summit League Baseball's Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Timmins earned his third win of the season in Omaha's 4-1 victory to clinch the series sweep vs. BYU on Saturday afternoon.

The Omaha native tossed a complete-game, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four Cougars.

Timmins' nine-inning complete-game performance is the first by a Maverick pitcher since Payton Kinney's no-hitter against Ohio on March 4, 2018.

Timmins is the third Maverick pitcher to be named Summit League Pitcher of the Week this season, joining teammates Joey Machado and Richie Holetz.
