Klosterman Named Summit League Player of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Emily Klosterman is tabbed the Summit League Player of the Week following her performance in the team's series with Western Illinois, the league announced Monday afternoon. This marks her first career weekly honor.
The senior shortstop hit .727 over the four game series totaling eight hits, two doubles, a triple, four RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
In game one of the series, Klosterman went 2-for-2, including a triple, with two RBI. She followed that performance hitting in the game winning run in game two vs. WIU.
In game three, Klosterman went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI, and one run scored helping Omaha to a 9-1 run-rule. She added another two hits, including a double, in the fourth game.
Klosterman and the Mavericks will be back in action this week Wednesday vs. Creighton. The Mavericks are playing a rescheduled game with the Bluejays. First pitch is 4 p.m. at Connie Claussen Field.
