LOUISVILLE, Ky. ā Sydney Nuismer is tabbed Third Team All-Midwest Region as a utility/pitcher, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Thursday afternoon.

This marks the freshman's first All-Region honor and the program's first NFCA Third Team accolade.

Nuismer made 11 starts at DP and 10 as a pitcher. At the plate, she hit .286 on the year totaling 14 hits, including three doubles, a triple, and one home run. Nusimer tallied four multi-hit games this season highlighted by back-to-back two-hit performances vs. Northern Colorado in the Connie Claussen Classic.

Her first career-hit was vs. UAPB on Feb. 26, and her first career-homer was vs. UNC on Mar. 19. She finished that game with two hits, three RBI, and one run scored.

The Elkhorn, Nebraska native made 10 starts in the circle and 19 appearances. She finished the season 4-8 with a 3.41 ERA. Nusimer retired 56 batters over 92.1 innings of work. She recorded a career-best seven strikeouts in Omaha's win over Western Illinois on April 17.

Nuismer's 3.41 ERA ranks eighth in the Summit League. She also ranks in the top-10 with 21 batters struck out looking coming in at eighth.
