OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team concluded its season with a 7-0 loss vs. South Dakota State at the Summit League Baseball Championship on Friday at Tal Anderson Field.
The Mavericks finish the season with an overall record of 22-25.

How it Happened
- A pair of walks followed by a two-RBI single led the Jackrabbits to a 2-0 advantage in the second.
- Omaha loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, but SDSU escaped the jam with a leaping catch of Grant Goldston's lineout to shortstop.
- The Jackrabbits added a run in the fourth and three more in the sixth to extend the lead to 6-0.
- An RBI single in the ninth capped the scoring and clinched the 7-0 victory for SDSU.
- Masen Prososki, Brett Bonar and Chris Esposito had one hit apiece for the Mavericks.
- Starter Joey Machado fell to 5-4 on the season while allowing three runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of work.
- Jackson Gordon tossed 1.2 innings in relief, followed by two innings from Jarrett Blunt.
- Breyden Eckhout pitched the final inning for the Mavericks.
