Maverick Newcomer Lands Spot on 2021 U.S. World Junior Summer Showcase Roster

OMAHA, Neb. – Freshman Cameron Berg of Omaha hockey has earned a spot on the 2021 U.S. World Junior Summer Showcase roster, USA Hockey announced this summer.

Berg earned one of the 44 spots on the summer showcase roster and is set for a week in Plymouth, Mich., July 24-31 at USA Hockey Arena.

The freshman will compete in five games on the USA White roster, beginning with the opener vs. Finland on Sunday, July 25 at 1 p.m. (ET).

The Showcase, which will also include teams from Finland and Sweden, will serve as an evaluation for athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the 2022 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship on Dec. 26 through Jan. 5 in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta.
