Four Mavericks Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches released its 2020-21 NABC Honors Court Tuesday, and the list includes Omaha men's basketball student-athletes Matt Pile, Zach Thornhill, Nathan Brusseau and Kyle Luedtke. Pile and Thornhill are repeat honorees from last season while Brusseau and Luedtke have earned the Honors Court award for the first time.
Pile graduated in May with his bachelor's degree in chemistry with a 3.95 GPA. He will begin medical school at UNMC this fall. Earlier this summer, Pile became the first Maverick in the Division I era to be named a three-time Academic All-American.
The Wichita, Kan., native also was a three-time Academic All-District honoree, a three-time Academic All-Summit pick and has been a member of the UNO Dean's List and Chancellor's List and the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence. On the court, he was a two-time All-Summit Honorable Mention.
Thornhill, who hails from Lenexa, Kan., graduated in May with his bachelor's degree in management information systems with a 3.77 GPA. He is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and the UNO Dean's List.
Brusseau, from New Prague, Minn., graduated in May with his bachelor's degree in business administration with a 3.81 GPA. He is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and the UNO Dean's List.
Luedtke carries a 3.63 GPA with a major in communication studies. The Omaha native is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and the UNO Dean's List.
In order to be named to the annual Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher and matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
