
Mavericks Finish In 8th Place At Jackrabbit Intercollegiate

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Mavericks finished eighth place at the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Omaha scored 317 in round two and 320 in round three, finishing with a total score of 952. Host South Dakota State won the tournament, scoring 895 over three rounds. North Dakota State finished second with a score of 905. Cal-State Fullerton finished third, just one stroke behind NDSU at 906.
Freshman Sydney Taake finished first on the team in her first collegiate appearance. Scoring three over with a 75 in round two and a 77 in round three, Taake tied for 25th on the individual leaderboard, shooting 234 across three rounds of golf.
Mandi Granato scored 83 in the second round and 80 in the third. She placed second on the team with a total score of 241, good for 43rd place on the leaderboard.
Zora Gittens shot 84 and 81 in rounds two and three, respectively. Over the three rounds she scored a total of 243, tied for 45th overall.
Maddie Simon finished 54 holes with a score of 243 and tied for 45th place in the individual rankings.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk finished in a tie for 52nd place. Through three rounds, she scored 244.
Golfing individually, Mika Miyata finished with a total score of 236. Shooting four over in round two, and six over in round three, she ended in a tie for 30th place. Emma Kirvan shot 247 through 54 holes and finished tied in 56th. Izzi Puk scored 258, ranking her 60th at the event.
Omaha returns to action October 4-5 when they host the Stampede at the Creek in Elkhorn.
