Madison, Ill.- The Omaha men's golf team finished the Derek Dolenc invitational at SIUE in a tie for 12th place.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 299 in the third round for a total of 902 through the 54-hole tournament. They finish tied with Chicago State in 12th place on the team leaderboard. UT-Martin finishes the invite on top with a score of 855. Finishing in second with 867 is Weber State, followed by New Orleans in third with 871.
Mathew Halvorson finished four over in round three. He ends the tournament in a tie for 25th place, with a total score of 222. The senior finishes at the top of the Mavericks leaderboard for the second invite in a row.
Carter Doose finished second on the team after shooting one over in the third round for a score of 72. The sophomore finishes with a total score of 224 and ends the tournament in a tie for 34th place.
Josh Peters scored a 75 in the third round. A four over finish gives the junior a total score of 227, placing him in a tie for 45th place on the individual leaderboard.
Noah Hartman shot six over in the final round and scored 232 over the three rounds of action. The senior finishes in a tie for 65th place overall.
Phoomintr Kaewvichien finished the tournament with a total score of 243. The junior ends his first tournament of the season in a tie for 81st place.
Golfing individually, Christopher Atkinson finished the third round with a score of 78. The freshman ends his first tournament in a tie for 30th place on the individual leaderboard with a total score of 223.
The Mavericks next appearance will be the Stampede at the Creek in Elkhorn next Monday and Tuesday, October 4-5 at 8:30 a.m.
