
Mavericks Head To Carolina For ODU/OBX Intercollegiate

Powells Point, N. C.- The Omaha men's golf team is in North Carolina for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Oct. 23-25.
Kilmarlic Golf Course, a par-71, 6,587-yard course in Powells Point, North Carolina is the site for the 12th iteration of the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate. The Mavericks have traveled to this event seven of the past eight years, placing as high as eighth in 2018. They join Drake, Drexel, Georgetown, Hartford, Longwood, Navy, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Radford, St. Bonaventure, St. Francis, St. Josephs, SIUE and Villanova, along with host Old Dominion for a three-day 54-hole event made up of 16 schools.
Here's how the Mavericks lineup looks for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate:

4. Carter Doose
Carter Doose, Mathew Halvorson and Nolan Johnson return to the lineup for their fifth-straight event. The trio are the only three Mavericks to have played in every event this fall.
Mathew Halvorson led the team at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational in Wichita (Oct. 10-11). The graduate student placed 20th in Wichita, his first top-20 finish of the season. Carter Doose recorded a career-best round of 69 (-2) at the last event. Nolan Johnson notched a new season-best 54-hole total with a 221 at the Shocker Invitational.
Kurtis Rodriguez has played in three events this season and leads the team with a scoring average of 72.9. In the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational, Rodriguez took 25th place with a three-round total of 220. Tyler Eedy has appeared in two events this year, recording 54-hole scores of 227 in both.
