Knoepke Lands ATO with AHL's Americans

Nate Knoepke has become the first Omaha player to sign with a professional team after the season.
The Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League announced Wednesday morning that they've inked the 22-year-old graduate defenseman from Farmington, Minn., to an amateur tryout (ATO).
Knoepke wrapped up his collegiate career this past weekend in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference quarterfinals. The two-time assistant captain helped the Mavericks to a 21-17 mark.
In four seasons in Omaha, Knoepke appeared in 134 games, recording seven goals and 21 assists. He joined the Mavericks prior to the 2018-19 season after appearing in two games while at Minnesota.
Knoepke's nine assists and 10 points during the 2021-22 season were both career bests.
