Three More Mavericks Sign Pro Deals

Goaltender Isaiah Saville and forwards Taylor Ward and Brannon McManus are the latest Mavericks to ink pro deals. The trio joins defenseman Nate Knoepke, who signed an AHL deal earlier in the week.
The Vegas Golden Knights announced Friday that they've signed Saville, whom they selected in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft before he arrived in Omaha, to a three-year entry-level contract. The Anchorage, Alaska, native leaves the college game after three years as the primary goalie for the Mavericks. Saville won 38 games (fifth-most in program history) while posting a 2.78 goals-against average (fourth all-time at Omaha) and a .907 save percentage (also fourth). He went 16-14 with a 2.52 GAA in his final college season while claiming the NCHC's Goaltender of the Week honors five times.
Ward signed a one-year entry level contract with the Los Angeles Saturday morning. He is scheduled to join the Ontario Reign on an amateur tryout (ATO) for the rest of the season. His contract will go into effect for the 2022-23 season. The Kelowna, B.C., native was Omaha's leading scorer during his senior season and left the Maverick program ranked sixth in all-time goals (57) and ninth in total points (115).
McManus, a graduate transfer who previously starred at Minnesota, signed an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with Vancouver affiliate Abbotsford of the American Hockey League. The Newport Beach, Calif., product finished with 32 points in his one season with Omaha after recording 87 during his four years with Minnesota.
