
Taake Tied For Seventh After Day One At Southern Illinois

St. Charles, Mo.- The Omaha women's golf team completed the first two rounds at the Diane Daugherty Invitational at Southern Illinois Monday.
The Mavericks will carry a team score of 663 to the final round on Tuesday, after scoring 335 and 328 in the first two rounds. Omaha currently holds 14th place among all teams.
Sydney Taake scored 79(+8) in the first round and 75(+4) in the second. The freshman shares seventh place on the leaderboard, seven strokes behind the frontrunner.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk shot 75(+4) in round two after scoring 81 in round one. The sophomore currently shares 12th place overall, using four birdies in the second round to maneuver into the top 15.
Junior Mandi Granato finishes with a day-one total of 173. Freshmen Emma Kirvan and Maddie Simon end the first two rounds with 180 and 182, respectively.
