Mavericks Finish Round One Of Summit League Championship

Newton, Kan.- The Omaha women's golf team completed the first round of the Summit League Championship on Monday, April 24th.
The Mavericks scored 310 as a team, currently sitting in seventh place. They fall one stroke behind North Dakota who holds sixth, and two strokes behind South Dakota in fifth.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk and Emma Kirvan share 16th place and lead the Mavericks. The sophomore and freshman matched scores of 77(+5) and sit nine strokes behind the leader.
Mandi Granato and Sydney Taake scored 78(+6), tying for 23rd place overall. Taake made up for an early triple-bogey with three birdies in round one.
Mika Miyata finished the first round one stroke behind Granato and Taake with a 79(+7). The junior shares 29th place on the leaderboard.
The Summit League Championship continues with the second round on Monday, April 25. The final round will be Tuesday, April 26. Tee times start at 8 A.M. and live stats are available at Omavs.com.
