Mavericks Set For Second Round At Summit

Newton, Kan.- The Omaha men's golf team completed the first round of the 2022 Summit League Championship on Sunday, May 1.
The Mavericks currently share ninth place with North Dakota. Both teams scored 298 in the opening round. North Dakota State leads the tournament with a score of 276.
Christopher Atkinson leads the Mavericks with an even par in the first round. The freshman birdied four holes on his way to a share of 17th place on the leaderboard.
Matching Atkinson with four birdies in the first round is Josh Peters. The junior is tied for 32nd place with a score of 75(+3) in round one.
Carter Doose also scored 75 in the first round and shares 32nd place with Peters. Kurtis Rodriguez and Mathew Halvorson finished right behind Doose and Peters with scores of 76(+4) and 77(+5) respectively.
