Three Mavericks Named Academic All-League

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Three Omaha softball players were named Academic All-League Wednesday morning, the league announced. Kamryn Meyer, Lynsey Tucker, and Izzy Eltze are all first time honorees following the 2022 season.
Meyer holds a 3.581 GPA as an early childhood education major. She was tabbed first-team All-Summit, earned five Pitcher of the Week awards, and one Athlete of the Month accolade. Meyer led the league in ERA (1.14), strikeouts (285), shutouts (11), and wins (25). She ranks second in opponent batting average (.151) and saves (3). Meyer ranks nationally in ERA, strikeouts, wins, and shutouts.
Tucker holds a 3.952 as a kinesiology major. She was tabbed to the 2022 All-Summit Second Team. Tucker hit .322 on the year with the second most hits for Omaha (48). She was 16-for-16 on stolen bases and recorded 27 runs, 17 RBI, nine doubles, and a triple.

Eltze holds a 4.0 as an architectural engineering major. She was a First Team All-Summit selection. Eltze hit .413 in league play ranking fifth among the conference. Eltze led the league with 23 runs scored, 31 hits, and five triples. She hit .341 overall on the year to lead the Mavericks. Her nine homers was tied best on the team.
