Mavericks In Utah For Second Event Of Season

Eden, Utah- The Omaha Women's golf team is back in action this week at the Kelsey Chugg Invitational hosted by Weber State on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 19-20.Â
Both days begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 A.M. Nine teams join the Mavericks at Wolf Creek Resort golf course, including Cal-State Bakersfield, Creighton, Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Texas A&M Commerce, and Weber State. Â
The Maverick lineup remains the same for the second event of the season:Â

Graduate transfer Nicole Hansen leads the Mavericks for the second tournament. In the first event of the year, Hansen led the Mavericks with a 54-hole score of 231 and a low-round score of 74.Â
Mika Miyata enters the second event of the year after a career tournament a week ago. The junior set career lows with a single-round score of 72 and a three-round total of 234.Â
Emily Karmazin takes the third spot in the lineup for her second collegiate event. In her debut last week, Karmazin posted a 71 in the second round, the fifth-best single round score in program history. Also returning from her debut last week, Macarena Garcia is back in the lineup. The freshman had a low-round of 79 in a 54-hole total of 240.Â
Sydney Taake holds the fifth spot in the lineup. The sophomore scored 241 over three rounds last week with a low round of 78. Emma Kirvan makes her 2022 debut golfing individually. The sophomore recorded a low-round of 77 last season with a stroke average of 83.8.Â
