Track & Field Primed for 2023 Indoor Season Debut at Graduate Classic

The Omaha Mavericks Track & Field team is set to get their 2023 Indoor season underway this weekend at the Graduate Classic, hosted by Nebraska.
The Mavericks first competition of 2023 starts this Friday and Saturday. Friday's action opens at 4:00 p.m. while Saturday's events begin at 11:30 a.m.
"It was great to see everyone after the break and get back to work," Omaha head coach Chris Richardson said. "We're looking forward to heading down to Lincoln this weekend and get the season rolling. We had some great performances at our December meet and we want to continue that momentum throughout the indoor season."
Freshman distance runner, Kamryn Ensley, was named a Summit League Preseason Athlete to Watch for the Mavericks. The rookie runner will compete in her first indoor meet this weekend. Ensley is coming off a stellar cross country season where she finished top-10 overall in every Omaha meet including a 4th place finish at the Summit League Championship where she was named Newcomer of the Meet.
The Mavericks will jump right back to action next weekend at the Cyclone Open in Ames, Iowa, hosted by Iowa State.
