Mavericks Wrap Up GCU Invitational

Phoenix, Ariz.—The Omaha men's golf team completed the third round of the GCU Invitational on Tuesday.

The Mavericks shot 291 in the third round, their lowest 18-hole score of the event. They finished with a total score of 881 throughout the event, falling two strokes behind South Dakota State, which takes 13^th place.

Mathew Halvorson earned 28^th place with another even score in the third round. Five of Halvorson's last six rounds of golf have finished with a par-or-better score. Mathew totaled 215 throughout the event. Kurtis Rodriguez was right behind Halvorson with a three-round total of 219. Rodriguez used an even round of 71 in the third to take 45^th place overall.

Josh Peters finished with a total score of 223. Connor Wilson was right behind him with 224. Nolan Johnson ended his three rounds with a score of 232.

The Mavericks are back in action next week as they travel to Springfield, Mo., for the Missouri State Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 20-21.
