Omaha Volleyball Signs Amanda Hardt

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Volleyball team has added another newcomer ahead of the 2023 season with the signing Amanda Hardt. She becomes the eighth newcomer signed by the program this year.
"I loved meeting the team and the environment. UNO is a very unique school, when I came for my visit I loved it because of the atmosphere and how you can get a different feel for college life. I also love the coaching staff because you can tell they are very understanding of each player and genuinely cares and wants to help."
Hardt comes to us from Glendale, Arizona, where she was a four-year letter winner with the Deer Valley High School volleyball team. In her freshman year, the team won the 4A West Valley Region Championship. Hardt took a major step forward as a sophomore when she transitioned to being a middle blocker and promptly earned a 4A West Valley All-Region Honorable Mention. She would save the best for last as she set three school records this past season as a senior with 113 aces, 530 kills, and 76 solo blocks. Hardt was named 4A West Valley All-Region First Team, 4A West Valley Offensive Player of the Year, and 4A All-Conference Second Team in her final season.
Overall, in her high school career Hardt recorded 765 kills, 226 total blocks, 145 aces, and 150 digs.
"Amanda is a dynamic attacker with experience in a lot of positions, and has a background in beach Volleyball," noted Head Coach Matt Buttermore. "We look forward to her making an impact on either pin, and are excited for her to be a Maverick!"
