Hurdle Signs with Texas Rangers

Devin Hurdle becomes the latest Maverick to go pro after signing with the Texas Rangers as a free agent.
The 2022 First Team All-Summit shortstop had a breakout season, batting .373/.425/.547 (.972) with five home runs, 29 RBIs, and 25 runs scored. He also had 22 multi-hit games this year, including a stretch of six in a row back in April. In his Mavericks career, Hurdle racked up 62 RBIs and 20 doubles while posting a .292 batting average.
He joins second round draft pick Mike Boeve as the second Maverick to sign with a professional team this week.
