Fidler Wins Second Player of the Week Award

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - For the second time this season, Frankie Fidler has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week after leading the Mavericks to two wins and first place in the conference.
Fidler racked up 63 points last week, shooting 16-for-32 (50.0%) from the field, 5-for-8 (62.5%) on three-pointers, and 26-for-29 (89.7%) on free throws, as well as pulling down 19 rebounds.
In Thursday night's victory against North Dakota, he led Omaha with 29 points and tied the all-time program record for free throws made in a game with 18. Then, vs. North Dakota State on Saturday, Fidler had one of the best games of his career, recording his second double-double of the season with a season-high 34 points and 12 rebounds. Shooting 11-for-19 (57.9%), this marked the first time this year that Fidler made double-digit field goals.
Fidler now has eight games with at least 20 points scored and two with at least 30 points scored this season. He also has a 13-game double-digit points streak now. All of this culminated in him reaching 1198 career points, putting him in 18th place on Omaha's all-time scoring list.
