
Volleyball sweeps Oral Roberts for the second time in the season

Tulsa, Okla. – Omaha Volleyball won 3-0 at Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon. The Mavericks won the three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-20.
Omaha recorded its eighth sweep of the season and its second in a row for the second time this campaign. This was also the second sweep of Oral Roberts by Omaha this season.
Senior Erica Fava and redshirt senior Kenedy Schaecher led the Mavericks with seven digs. Sophomore Amanda Hardt led Omaha with 12 kills and graduate student McKenna Ruch led in blocks with eight.
Ruch also led Omaha with 20.5 points in the match.
Senior Shayla McCormick led the Mavericks with three aces.
The Mavericks operated at a .277 attack percentage with nine blocks as a unit. Omaha also put up 43 assists to Oral Roberts' 25.
Volleyball will be back on the court when it hosts Denver on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb.
