Ball Kids program returns for the 2025 Omaha Tennis Season
Dec 20, 2024 | Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis
OMAHA, Neb. -Â On Friday, the Omaha Men's and Women's Tennis programs announced the return of the fan-favorite Maverick Ball Kid Program, now entering its fourth season.
The program aims to create a rewarding and active learning opportunity for kids to foster a lively and engaging experience during home matches. The benefits include exclusive access to Division I tennis competitions, learning about the game of tennis, countable community service hours and a free Maverick Ballers t-shirt.
"I look forward to another year of having ball kids at our matches," women's tennis head coach Adam Summitt said. "This is fun to be a part of and helps make the matches feel more professional. They are an essential group, as they make matches go much faster. The feedback we have gotten over the years has been positive. We hope to keep seeing the kids come out and have fun."
Children ages 9-14 (who cannot be in high school per NCAA rules) are eligible, and tennis experience is recommended but not required. Every participant must attend at least one training session before working any of the home matches.
The program will only run during select men's and women's home matches. Below is the full list of training and match dates for each team.
All training dates and competitions take place at Miracle Hills Tennis Center.
