Latkoczy Earns Second NCHC Goalie of the Week This Season

Omaha Mavericks netminder Simon Latkoczy has been named the NCHC Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season.
Latkoczy guided the Mavericks to a five-point weekend against the then No. 10 Colorado College Tigers. He went 1-0-1 for the series with a .977 save percentage and a 0.48 goals-against average. The Trencin, Slovakia native recorded his second shutout of the season (fourth of his career) and stopped 42 of the 43 shots he saw against a team that scored 13 goals the weekend before. Latkoczy also stonewalled CC on all three of their shootout attempts to secure the extra NCHC point in Saturday's 1-1 draw.
This is the second time Latkoczy has won NCHC Goalie of the Week this season. It's the third time in his Omaha career he has won the weekly award. He was also named NCHC Rookie of the Week during his debut campaign over Week 19 last year. This is the seventh weekly award win for the Mavericks.
