Proctor Named Week 16 NCHC Defenseman of the Week

Omaha Mavericks blueliner Kirby Proctor was named the Week 16 NCHC Defenseman of the Week after a four-point weekend helping the Mavericks to a series sweep against Minnesota Duluth.
Proctor opened the weekend by scoring the game winning goal in the first period of Friday's contest. The graduate defenseman added an assist on the Mavericks third and fifth goals to secure his first career three-point game. The next night, Proctor wasted no time getting things going as he buried a shot from the point just 17 seconds into the game.
On top of his four-point weekend, the Okotoks, Alberta native notched a plus-five rating and added three blocks.
Playing in all 26 games on the campaign, Proctor has totaled five goals (ties career high) and six helpers. His five lamp lighters leads all Omaha defenseman.
The weekly conference award is the first of Proctor's career. He is the seventh weekly award winner for the Mavericks joining Griffin Ludtke (Week 5), Jo Lemay (Week 2 & 6), Simon Latkoczy (Week 9), Ty Mueller (Week 14) and Tanner Ludtke (Week 15)
