Frankie Fidler Named to the NABC All-District Team

Frankie Fidler has earned yet another award following his record-breaking 2023-24 season, becoming just the third Maverick in history to make the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District team after being named Second Team All-District 12 today. He joins Zach Jackson (First Team in 2018-19) and Devin Patterson (Second Team 2015-16) as the only Mavericks to earn the honor.
Starting all 33 games for Omaha this season, Fidler shot above .500 on field goals 11 times, scored in double figures in 31 times, topped 20 points 17 times and 30 points four times, and totaled five double-doubles. In the final game of the season, he scored 27 points in the Summit League Tournament Semifinals against Denver, pushing him over 20 ppg on the year. Overall, Fidler set new single-season highs in 3-PT FGs made (52), FTs made (216), rebounds (207), rpg (6.3), assists (86), steals (41), points (664), and ppg (20.1).
Nationally, Fidler ranked sixth in all of Division I in free throws made, 22nd in points, and 31st in ppg.
Fidler passed several career milestones and crushed multiple program records this season. On December 9 at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, he became the 43rd Maverick in history to reach 1000 career points. He climbed all the way to sixth place on the all-time scoring list (third place among those who only played in the Division I era) with 1507 points, putting him 309 away from first place. Then, on top of reaching 500 points in a single season for the first time in his career, in the regular season finale at St. Thomas he became the first Maverick ever in the Division I era and the first overall since 1973 to reach 600 points in a single season.
For his efforts, Fidler was also named First Team All-Summit for the first time in his career earlier this month.
