Frankie Fidler Named First Team All-Summit

Fidler, building off a strong 2022-23 season in which he earned an Honorable Mention, took a massive step forward this year and established himself as one of the top players in the entire country. In addition to leading the Mavericks in nearly every offensive category, the Bellevue native finished sixth in the nation in free throws made with 233, was top 25 in points scored with 603, and top 50 in points per game with 19.5.
In Summit League competition, Fidler was second in ppg (23.1) and points (370), sixth in rpg (7.0) and total rebounds (112), fourth in FT% (.879), and tied for sixth in spg (1.2) and total steals (22). Across the entire season, he started all 31 games for Omaha, shot above .500 on field goals 10 times, scored in double figures in 29 times, topped 20 points 15 times and 30 points three times, and totaled four double-doubles. He also earned two Summit League Peak Performer of the Week Awards.
Fidler passed several career milestones and crushed multiple program records too this year. On December 9 at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, he became the 43rd Maverick in history to reach 1000 career points. He has climbed all the way to eighth place on the all-time scoring list (third place among those who only played in the Division I era) with 1446 points, just 11 away from seventh all-time. Then, on top of reaching 500 points in a single season for the first time in his career, in the regular season finale at St. Thomas he became the first Maverick ever in the Division I era and the first overall since 1973 to reach 600 points in a single season.
Fidler will lead the Mavericks this Sunday at 8:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Tournament when they face No. 3 North Dakota.
