Riedel Named Conference Pitcher of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - For the first time this year and the second time in his career, Caleb Riedel has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week.
Riedel earned the honor after pitching his best game yet this year, firing seven shutout innings in a win over 2023 conference champion and CWS participant Oral Roberts to clinched the series victory on Saturday. He only allowed three hits in the game while striking out eight on a good mix of fastballs and breaking pitches. In the process, Riedel lowered his season ERA to 3.89 and his career ERA to 3.11. This performance also marked the first time this season and the fourth time in his career that he completed at least seven innings in a game.
Riedel last took home this award a little over a year ago on March 13, 2023, after tossing six shutout innings with 13 strikeouts against Stonehill.
