Goetzmann Named Conference Player of the Month

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Following an incredible month at the plate and in the field, Matt Goetzmann has been named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Month for April.
In 14 games last month slashed he slashed .438/.549/.789 (1.338 OPS), recording eight multi-hit games and getting a hit in each of the last 11 games. He reached base safely in every single game and only had one hitless game the whole month. Goetzmann displayed excellent power during this span, notching 11 extra-base hits, including four home runs. In total, Omaha scored 106 runs in the month of April; Goetzmann personally drove in 14 runs and scored 19 runs, accounting for roughly a third of the team's scoring. Included in this were five multi-run games, including a season-high four at St. Thomas, and had four multi-RBI games, including a season-high four at St. Thomas.
Goetzmann also went 7-for-9 on stolen base attempts and did not commit a single error in the field as he continued to make highlight reel plays every week.
