Five Mavericks Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams were announced today with five members of the Omaha Baseball team making the cut: Harrison Kreiling, Charlie Bell, Luke Gainer, Drew Lechnir, and Trent Burkhalter. Selected by College Sports Communicators, the teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
All five Mavericks posted a cumulative GPA of at least 3.70 this past academic year, with Lechnir leading the way with a 4.0. Each of them also earned a spot on the All-Summit Team announced earlier this season.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18.
