JJ White Named Kwik Start Summit League Player of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Following the greatest two game stretch of his career, JJ White has been named the Kwik Start Summit League Peak Performer of the Week.
Facing St. Thomas and Oral Roberts last week, White led the Mavericks with 50 points in the two victories. Across both games he went 13-for-20 (65.0%) on field goals and 5-for-8 (62.5%) from behind the arc, as well as 19-for-24 (79.2%) on free throws. On top of this he pulled down 7 rebounds and had six assists.
His performance at ORU was the best of his career as he blew past his previous single-game high of 24 points by scoring 35, becoming the first Maverick this year to top 30 points. He did so with a career-high eight field goals made, shooting 8-for-9 (88.9%) including 4-of-5 from deep. He also made a career-high 15 free throws (15-for-18, 83.3%).
With 15 points vs. St. Thomas to open the week, White now has seven consecutive games with double digit points.
This is the first weekly honor of White's career.
