Omaha Men's Basketball Receives Votes in Mid-Major Top 25

For the first time since Chris Crutchfield took over as head coach, the first place Omaha Men's Basketball team has received votes in the College Inside Mid-Major Top-25 poll.
The top team in the Summit League has earned 27 votes in the poll to join three other teams in the conference: St. Thomas (81, ranked 23rd), North Dakota Statr (69), and South Dakota State (8). In addition to these three, two more of Omaha's opponents from this year have received votes: Akron (281, ranked 15th) and Northern Iowa (27). Overall the Mavericks are 3-2 against teams currently receiving votes.
Leading up to this, Omaha extended its historic winning streak to nine in a row this past week with wins over St. Thomas (89-78) and Oral Roberts (84-76). The 2024-25 Mavericks are now one of five teams in program history to have a win streak of at least nine games as they are now tied with the 1981-82 and 1982-83 squads while trailing only the 2004-05 (12) and 1983-84 (13) teams.
