14 Mavericks earn NCHC Academic All-Conference, and eight receive Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition

OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey has 14 players named to the 2024-25 NCHC Academic All-Conference team, and eight were recognized as Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.
131 NCHC players were named Academic All-Conference. A record 91 also earned Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition.
According to the conference, "to be eligible for the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average or better, while having completed at least one full academic year at his current institution, or have transferred intra-conference and previously been on the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team. Student-athletes that have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better are honored as NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, in addition to Academic All-Conference."
Each program in the NCHC has at least 12 Academic All-Conference players and six Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.
Graduate forwards Brock Bremer, and Jimmy Glynn and graduate defenseman and captain Nolan Krenzen are three of eight student-athletes to earn Academic All-Conference five times now and are three of four who are also now five-time Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.
Glynn is one of three NCHC graduate students with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The 2024-25 NCHC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, chosen from senior Distinguished Scholar-Athletes, will be announced at the annual NCHC Awards Celebration at the St. Paul Event Center on Thursday, March 20, in Saint Paul, Minn.
