Groff named Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week for sixth time in 2025

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha softball sophomore pitcher Maddia Groff has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Groff has now earned the honor in consecutive weeks and six times overall in her first season at Omaha.
The Marian graduate registered an ERA of .47 in two outings this past weekend at South Dakota State, going 2-0 in a pair of starts, stretching 15 innings of work.
Groff allowed just three extra-base hits over the three-game series and held the Jackrabbits to a .167 average at the plate. The left-hander struck out 13 in her pair of outings in the circle.
Groff's lone complete game of the weekend was a 10-inning affair to open the series in which she registered 11 punch-outs without allowing a run over 156 pitches.
Early today it was announced that Groff was tabbed to Softball America's Pitcher Power Rankings heading into May.
With the pair of team victories in Brookings, S.D., Omaha softball has secured the top seed in next week's Summit League Championship, hosted by South Dakota State.
The Mavericks close-out the regular season on Friday, May 2 with a doubleheader at Wisconsin beginning at 4 p.m. CT with game two to follow 30 minutes later.
