Men's Basketball Ranked 22nd in Final Mid Major Poll

BOSTON, Mass.- The Omaha men's basketball team has been ranked 22nd in the final Mid-Major Top 25 poll of the season at CollegeInsider.com. The Mavericks totaled 120 votes in the poll, the most they have received all season.
The 2024-25 Summit League regular season and tournament champions capped off the most successful season in the program's Division I history with its first ever NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament appearance back in March. Led by Summit League Coach of the Year and Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year winner Chris Crutchfield, the Mavericks set Division I program records in wins (22) and consecutive wins (nine).
Omaha also led the Summit League in scoring margin (7.3) and three-point shooting (40.2%), as well as placing second in rebounding margin (3.8), field goal percentage (49.4%), and total offense (84.2 ppg).
The Mavericks are the only Summit League team to be ranked in poll, with South Dakota State and St. Thomas both receiving five votes. Also earning votes are two of Omaha's non-conference opponents from this past year, Northern Iowa (13) and Akron (478, 10th place)
This marks the first time in program history that the Mavericks have ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season.
