
Katie Keitges named All-Summit League Academic Team

OMAHA, Neb. ā Mavericks graduatingĀ senior Katie Keitges has been recognized by the Summit League as one of five women's basketball players on the 2024-2025 Academic All-League team.
The fifth-year guard from Knoxville, Iowa maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout her academic career at Omaha as aĀ Secondary Education major with endorsement in Physical Education K-12.Ā
On theĀ court, Keitges was one of most reliable players in Omaha history. Her 126 games played are tied for most in Mavs DI history, one shy of all-time, whileĀ her 2,991 minutes are second most in DI era and ninth most all-time. Katie was the only Maverick to play every game the past three seasons of her career.Ā
In the classroom, this is not Keitges' first recognition. Last year she was recognized as one of the nation's top scholar-athletes by the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) as one of 11 named to the 22ndĀ Annual Women's Scholar-Athlete team.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Keitges is joined by North Dakota State's Avery Koenen, South Dakota's Grace Larkins and South Dakota State's Paige Meyer and Haleigh Timmer.Ā
