FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Omaha Softball suffered its second loss of the season Thursday as Omaha (12-2) fell to No. 7/8 Arkansas (14-1) 10-2 in a five-inning game to begin the Woo Pig Classic.
With two out in the first, Bailey Sample launched her third homer of the season. Taylor Sedlacek hit a homer to right field to start off the fourth. Sedlacek leads Omaha with six home runs in 2026.
Arkansas scored in each of its four innings at the plate with three in the first, one in the second, two in the third and four in the fourth. Omaha was held to two hits.
The Mavericks resume tomorrow, facing Kansas and Charlotte with game one set for 10 a.m. CT.
