Indoors, had a season best mile time of 5:34.38 at the Jim Emmerich Invitational (Jan. 20)…also had a season best 5,000 meter time of 18:48.38 at the SDSU Indoor Classic (Feb. 10)…outdoors, did not compete…was named Omaha’s Dr. John Langan Phoenix Award for overcoming adversity...a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll.
Redshirted the indoor season…outdoors, had a PR of 5:00.26 in the 1,500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 14)…put up a PR of 11:06.41 in the 3,000 meters at the Tulsa Duels (March 18)…had a PR of 2:29.53 in the 800 meters at the Nebraska Invitational (May 6)…ran a season best time of 18:27.28 in the 5,000 meters at Kip Janvrin Open (April 28).
2015-16
Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor seasons.
2014-15 (Sophomore)
During the indoor season, posted a personal best time of 5:27.58 in the mile at the Jack Jennett Invitational (Jan. 30)…had a personal best 3,000 meter time of 10:39.70 at the Nebraska Tune-Up (Feb. 20)…put up a personal best 5,000 meter time of 18:31.94 at the SDSU Indoor Invitational (Feb. 13)…outdoors, had a PR time of 18:25.33 in the 5,000 meters at the Kip Janvrin Open (April 24)…had a PR of 5:09.02 in the 1,500 meters at the Tulsa Duels (March 21)…at the same meet, had a personal best clocking of 2:36.40 in the 800 meters.

Indoors, had a personal best of 3:23.67 in the 1,000 meters at the Dordt Indoor Invitational on Jan. 12…had a PR of 11:35.54 in the 3,000 meters on Jan. 18 at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational…posted a PR of 5:40.60 in the mile at the Bill Hillenbrand Alumni Track Meet on Jan. 26…registered a PR of 18:54.11 in the 5,000 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 15…outdoors, had a personal best of 8:03.54 in the 2,000 meter steeplechase at the Tulsa Duels on March 16…ran a PR of 18:58.73 in the 5,000 meters at the Doane College Relays on April 20…posted a PR of 12:05.10 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Kip Janvrin Open on April 26…also ran cross country.
Before UNO
Was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track at Columbus High School...qualified for the state meet in both cross country and track as a junior...as a freshman, was part of Columbus' school record two-mile relay team...also lettered in swimming as a senior.

Born Sept. 24, 1993...daughter of Moses and Martina Horta Garcia...has one brother, David...undecided on a major.
