Sigman Named NCC Wrestler of the Week
Les Sigman of Nebraska-Omaha has been named the NCC Wrestler of the Week.
Sigman, a junior heavyweight, led Nebraska-Omaha to wins over Central Oklahoma and Nebraska-Kearney, the fourth and third ranked teams in the nation, respectively.
Sigman defeated Josh LeadingFox of Central Oklahoma 7-1 and then major decisioned Tervel Dlagnev of Nebraska-Kearney 10-1. LeadingFox was ranked #3 in
NCAA Division II while Dlagnev was ranked #2.
The Mavericks, now 7-1 in duals, will be on the road this week, wrestling at St. Cloud State Friday and at Minnesota State Saturday.
