Men's Soccer Ties With Delaware
Sep 26, 2026 | Men's Soccer
OMAHA - There were plenty of fireworks on Saturday night as the top two scoring offenses in the Summit League played to a 3-3 draw at Caniglia Field.
The Mavericks (4-2-3, 0-0-1) struck first in the 35th minute as Gael de Montigny sent a beautiful ball across the box to Italo Jenkins, who headed it into the back of the net for his second goal of the season. Delaware (5-2-4, 0-0-1) quickly responded with a goal in the 41st minute to tie the game heading into halftime.
Omaha quickly regained the lead just 91 seconds into the second half as the Mavericks earned a corner kick. Brett Perkins sent the ball into the box, where it found Brady Robins' right foot. Robins converted for his first goal as a Maverick.
The Blue Hens responded with two goals in the next four minutes to take the lead. In the 85th minute, Mikey Stukenholtz broke loose and drew a foul inside the box, earning a penalty kick. Perkins converted his second penalty kick in as many games to equalize.
Delaware had one final look in the 89th minute, but Kamy Ndione made a beautiful save to preserve the tie.
The Mavericks will host rival and seventh-ranked Creighton for a blackout on Tuesday night at Caniglia Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
