OMAHA - The Omaha men's soccer team (8-3-3) continued to roll on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Drake (4-6-4) at Caniglia Field. This marks the Mavs fourth-consecutive win and its eighth win of the regular season which is the program's most wins in a regular season since 2022.

The Summit League's top offense continued to thrive on Tuesday night and it started with Italo Jenkins' penalty kick in the 18th minute to put the Mavs up 1-0. Just over three minutes later, Maguire Perkins intercepted a pass from the midfield and had nothing but green grass in front of him and was able to flick it past the goalie to put the Mavs up 2-0.

20 seconds later, Drake drew a penalty kick but for the second game in a row, Kamy Ndione denied the PK to keep Drake off the board. Drake struck in the 72nd minute to cut the lead to one, but the Mavs drew a corner in the 79th minute. Lucas Foreman sent a perfect ball to the near post and Jenkins put the header in the back of the net for his team-leading eighth goal of the season. Jenkins' eight goals in a season are the most since Theo Klein had eight in 2023.

The Mavs defense held strong in the final 15 minutes of action as the Bulldogs did not pose a real threat to score in the waning minutes of the match.

Omaha will return to Summit League action on Saturday at noon at St. Thomas. With a win, the Mavericks will earn at least a top two seed in the Summit League Tournament.
