Mavs to Celebrate Title at March 29 Rally
The Mavericks' national championship in wrestling will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, at 11 a.m. with a rally in the lobby of Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse. Wrestling Rally: Celebrating Back-to-Back National Championships, is open to everyone.
Coach Mike Denney and the team will be joined by Chancellor Nancy Belck, Mayor Mike Fahey and members of the UNO Athletic staff.
The Mavericks won their second straight NCAA Division II wrestling title on March 12 at Sapp Fieldhouse. It's the third time under Coach Denney that UNO has won a national wrestling championship.
