Mavs Add 2 New Foes to Fill 10-Game Slate
University of Nebraska at Omaha Head Coach Pat Behrns has added two new opponents to fill out a 10-game 2005 football schedule that will feature six home games at Caniglia Field.
Central Washington and Oklahoma Panhandle State will help make up a six-game home schedule for the Mavericks. Central Washington won its last six games to finish 7-4 and capture the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title. Panhandle State was 6-5 last season.
UNO opens the season at Nebraska-Kearney August 27, then will begin a four-game series with Northwest Missouri State, hosting the Bearcats at Caniglia Field in the home opener on Sept. 3.
The Mavericks will open defense of their North Central Conference crown on Sept. 24 at South Dakota.
