Mavs Included in Two Pre-Season Polls
The Mavericks are ranked in a pair of pre-season NCAA Division II football polls by national magazines. UNO, 8-3 last season, is ranked No. 10 by Lindy's and No. 14 by Street & Smith's in their pre-season college football issues.
UNO completed its 10th straight winning season at 8-3 last year, earning a share of the North Central Conference title and a berth in the NCAA post-season playoffs.
The Mavs will open the 2006 season at home on Sept. 2 against Nebraska-Kearney at Caniglia Field.
