Omaha Athletics Mask Policy

In accordance with the University of Nebraska Omaha's updated COVID-19 policies announced on Aug. 25, Omaha Athletics will follow a reinstituted face covering (mask) mandate for all indoor spaces in athletic venues. The mask mandate will affect Omaha Athletics' games differently depending on the venue.
This preventative measure will remain fluid to best protect the safety of our fans, student-athletes, coaches, staff, community, and our campus. Mask guidance is subject to change as the UNO Office of Health Security monitors trends and receives guidance from local, state, and federal health officials.
Baxter Arena (Volleyball, Hockey, Men's & Women's Basketball)
For all home volleyball, hockey, men's basketball and women's basketball contests, the face covering mandate will apply to all in attendance. Fans and workers will be required to wear a face covering (covering both the nose and mouth) when inside the venue.
Fans are encouraged to bring their own mask with a limited number of face coverings made available at the arena entry points. The mask mandate will be in effect at Baxter Arena beginning with Omaha Volleyball's Thursday, Sept. 16 regular-season home opener against Weber State.
Caniglia Field (Men's & Women's Soccer)
The face covering mandate will not apply to any patrons at Omaha men's or women's soccer matches, except for those who use the restrooms located inside the concourse. However, face coverings are strongly recommended for all in attendance at Caniglia Field.
Select working staff who reside inside the press box areas will be required to wear an appropriate face covering (covering the nose and mouth). Omaha Athletics, at the directive of our leadership team, may require certain working positions or media to wear an appropriate face covering when outdoors and near the teams.
Any adjustments to policies in athletic venues will be communicated as needed.
